1232 Can the payment method be changed for a booking? 2014/10/20
For hotel bookings on JAPANiCAN.com, two payment methods are available: payment in advance (online by credit card) and payment on arrival (guaranteed by credit card). The payment method is decided by the hotel for each room/plan and CANNOT be changed.

For tour bookings, all tours, packages, dinner plans, etc. require payment in advance by credit card online at the time of booking. Payment method CANNOT be changed to payment on arrival (e.g., cash on the tour date).

If you have already completed a booking with payment in advance, the credit card used for the booking CANNOT be changed, as the credit card you entered to make the booking has already been charged.

If you would like to use a credit card different from the one you entered when booking to pay for a payment on arrival booking, please first confirm which credit cards the hotel or inn accepts. It is important to note that some hotels (particularly small hotels, B&Bs, and ryokan) can only accept some credit card brands or may be able to accept CASH ONLY.
