||How are charges/refunds handled when I change a booking?
|If you are making changes to a payment-in-advance booking, any necessary refunds or additional charges will be made to the credit card you used to make the booking as follows.
When the booking cost increases:
The full amount originally charged will first be refunded to your credit card. The original amount plus the additional charges will then be charged to the same credit card as a new transaction.
When the booking cost decreases:
The full amount originally charged will first be refunded to your credit card. The original amount minus the necessary refunds will then be charged to the same credit card as a new transaction.
If you are making changes to a payment-on-arrival reservation, the rate to be charged at the hotel will be adjusted to reflect the changes.
Please note that your credit card company may charge transaction fees which will be incurred with each transaction. Also, refunds may take a month or longer to be processed depending on your credit card company. Please consult your credit card company for details regarding these issues.
Please note that even if you are canceling a booking to make a new one, cancellation fees may be incurred. Cancellation policies differ, so please be sure to confirm the cancellation policy of each hotel
