613 I chose "payment on arrival". Why was my credit card charged when I made the reservation? 2010/10/04
When reserving a hotel with payment on arrival, we need a credit card that will be charged in the case of cancellation if cancellation fees apply. At the time of booking, the credit card you provide for this purpose will be charged a minimal amount (JPY 100) to ensure the validity of the card. Once this is confirmed, the test charge is immediately credited back to your card. Your card will not be charged by us again unless you cancel your reservation at a time which incurs a fee or you make another purchase on JAPANiCAN.com with the same card.
